The following is a step-by-step guide to how to use your own domain for your boutique once you have bought it on

Please note that other Registrars’ DNS management interfaces will be different and can have slight variances in the way the following instructions apply.

Let’s get started:

Step 1

Locate and click the ‘Web Forwarding’ link in the main 123-Reg account page.

Step 2

Click "Edit" for the domain you want to point to SupaDupa. In this example we'll be using the domain name ""

Step 3

Click "Permanent forwarding" tab

Step 4

In the "Forward to:" box, enter, where is your domain name.

Step 5

You are now back on the web forwarding page, see success message, see that forwarding destination is correct. Click "Back to control panel" button.

Step 6

Back on control home, click manage for your domain.

Step 7

Now on domain manger, click "Manage DNS"

Step 8

Click on Advanced DNS.

Scroll down to section "A, CNAME and TXT records".

Set "TYPE" for WWW to "CNAME", and enter content "" (with trailing period).

important: Do NOT modify your "@" line.

Click the "Update DNS" button when done.

Step 9

Ok, now for the easy bit.
Return to your SupaDupa boutique administration and go to the domains section located in Shop Setting tab / Domains.

Click the green button to add a ‘NEW DOMAIN’.
Type in the domain you wish to add (remember to include the www) e.g.

Click the button to SAVE CHANGES.
You will be returned to the domains list where you should now click the Radio button to set the default domain name for your boutique.

Now, click the SAVE DEFAULT button.

Phewwww, you’re all done!

Your domain should now be pointing at your boutique so you can now be able to go directly to it by typing it into your address bar in your browser.

If it does not work immediately, give it 48 hours after which check that you have followed these steps correctly.
